Exploring Mental Health in College Students
What is Mental Health?
Mental health has become a well-known topic that is studied all around the world. From children to elders, anyone can suffer from mental health illnesses, and some may go through their entire life without seeking help. This topic does not only include emotional health, but social and psychological aspects as well. Mental health is apart of every person's life, however, there are some individuals who unfortunately suffer from mental illnesses that can cause extreme stress, anxiety, depression, or all of the above.
How are College Students Affected?
Mental health illnesses have been shown to be prevalent among college students for many different reasons. Many students attempt to balance school with their jobs or sports every single day, and these overwhelming schedules can cause stress to build up over time. College students are the future of our world, and it is important to gain knowledge on how to cope with and combat mental health illnesses in all different types of scenarios.
